Hi, we’re Michael and Michele Bell and we own and manage MyHome Paddington, providing premium residential cleaning services to the residents of Paddington and surrounding areas, including Moore Park, Ultimo, Bellevue Hill, Woollahra, Darling Point, Point Piper and Double Bay.
We have been married for 30 years, having met each other when we were 16 and 18 years old respectively. How time flies!
We have two adult sons, Ewan and Thomas, who we are so proud of. As a family, we spend lots of time together including the boys’ partners, grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles. There’s nothing better than a family meal shared, good music, and maybe a game of cards or a board game after.
We have a Weimaraner called Bentley who is 9 years old. He’s a distinguished gentleman and is our gentle giant, making friends with as many humans and dogs as he can.
Bentley loves the beach and is a fabulous swimmer, paddling into the surf to catch a ball and then surfing the waves back in. When there are no waves, the further you can throw the ball, the better! He also loves when we have family or friends over….there’s always a cheese board, and the chances of getting a treat are high.
We love to travel the world and have visited many interesting and unusual places over the years. Our next trip is to Peru and we just can’t wait!
Michael is a keen surfer and also loves to take our old timber boat out on the water. The boat belonged to Michael’s grandfather and had been abandoned in a shed. Michael brought it back to life for the family to enjoy. His other passions are AFL…just to watch these days….and motor sport. He participates in endurance kart racing which keeps the adrenaline pumping!
I love to dance and attend dance barre classes or gym classes several times a week. I also enjoy dressmaking (there’s always something in progress) and reading a great book to discuss at book club.
Finally, we love to eat out. A glass of wine and a fabulous meal just can’t be beaten!

What I love about Paddington…

Paddington is an amazingly vibrant suburb with lots of history and fabulous outdoor spaces. It is so close to both the centre of Sydney and our beautiful beaches and coast. Plus if you explore the leafy back streets, there are so many beautiful houses, art galleries, retail stores and restaurants, all tucked away just waiting to be discovered. Who could ask for more?!
We love eating out here as there are so many choices, from cafes and pubs to high end restaurants. Our favourites include Civico 47 for delicious Italian food (try the Mushroom Pastry starter, it’s super scrumptious!); The London Hotel which sits on a corner away from the main street and is 150 years old so has loads of atmosphere and a great vibe; and Barbetta for amazing coffee, Italian pastries and a beautifully designed interior.
Centennial Parklands is a great place to picnic, walk the dog and exercise. Cycling is especially popular there…Centennial Parklands is one of Sydney’s most cycle friendly public spaces.
Paddington is also fortunate to be the home to an abundance of Art Galleries….one of the highest concentrations in a suburban area in the world! It’s easy to spend a weekend gallery hopping and getting your culture on! Our favourites include Saint Cloche, Project Gallery 90 and Poppy Pack for inspiring photography.
We’re passionate about supporting other local small businesses. We highly recommend September Studio – in fact, we’d go so far as saying they do the best flower arrangements in Australia. Bryce is amazing. English Tapware Co sell a stunning range of quality tapware, cabinet hardware and kitchen and bathroom fittings. They are reliable and always helpful. And if you’re looking for the perfect gift, Dinosaur Designs is the place to go – they started in Paddington and they’re still in Paddington.
Paddington Markets has been a favourite Saturday morning pastime for locals since 1973, and we love it too! There are such a variety of stalls selling food, fashion and other fabulous design. Famous designers who started selling their creations at Paddington markets include Zimmerman, Sass & Bide, and Dinosaur Designs.
And we’re proud to support The Sydney Childrens Hospitals Foundation – a very worthy charity that we have supported by donating prizes for the annual Gold Dinner.

How long does each clean take?
It varies. We don’t quote on time, we quote on the job. So, you will pay the same price every time regardless of how many cleaners or how long it takes. This gives you consistency and also puts the onus back on MyHome to get the job done properly and efficiently.
Can I get a quote first?
Yes of course! Either fill in your details to request a quick quote., or call us today on 13 22 31. We will then book a viewing appointment for you with a local manager. They will take a quick look around your home (number of rooms, layout, size etc.) then provide an on-the-spot, no obligation quote that caters to your cleaning needs.
Can I have a trial period?
A trial period isn’t really required as you can cancel your MyHome service at any time. Just call us up. There’s no obligation with a regular clean to continue the service – but if there is anything you’re not happy with, please tell us as we will always try to resolve or improve rather than lose you as a valued customer.
What about a key – or access to my property if I’m out at work?
That’s not a problem. We hold keys to most of our customers’ homes as a lot of them work full time. It goes without saying – we will handle keys in the best interests of security and discretion at all times. Alternatively, if you’d prefer to be at home
when our cleaners visit, then that’s fine too.
How much will it cost?
That depends. When you request a quote, a MyHome representative will get in touch to make a viewing appointment. They will then take a quick look around your home (number of rooms, layout, size etc.) then provide an on-the spot quote. But don’t worry there’s no obligation. You can then have as much time as you want to think about it and get back to us. Once you give us the go-ahead, we will schedule in a cleaning date and time – either as a one-off or on a regular basis.
How do I pay?
It’s easy and convenient. You simply give us your bank or credit card details (which we treat with the strictest security and confidentiality at all times) and we debit the amount off your card each time. We will also provide a full invoice each time we visit for your records.
